While there is a lot of help for the entrepreneur, in the end, they need to be resourceful enough to depend on themselves.

Here's more good news: Three out of four Americans starting a business are doing so because they see an opportunity, not because they can't find a job and are going out on their own out of necessity. More than 43 percent of Americans think there are good opportunities for entrepreneurs in the U.S. today. 

Money also matters. More than 80 percent of all funding for new ventures in the U.S. comes from personal savings, family and friends. I am always getting asked how much money is needed to start a business? 

Nearly 69 percent of new businesses are home-based and rely on family and friends for help. Many close their doors before getting started.

From my work in the C-Suite to Founder of the Pheiff Group Companies and working with multiple startups, it is blessedly rare these days not to include discussions about lifestyle entrepreneurs.
